THE VIENNA PSYCHOANALYST wants to give not only already internationally established psychoanalysts, but also still unknown psychoanalysts the opportunity to post a self-written and not yet published article on the FrontPage of our online magazine!

Our Users then can leave comments, ask questions or discuss the articles in our forum. Our aim is to provide an international platform where for the first time anyone interested in psychoanalysis can exchange ideas on certain topics.
Articles are welcome in German and/ or English.

If you are interested, please send your article to

Warm welcome to the homepage of the first psychoanalytic online magazine straight from Vienna.
About time too ...!

The Psychoanalytic Vienna can show definitely more than just being a Guardian of its rich history, and our online magazine would like to prove this from now on too.

THE VIENNA PSYCHOANALYST wants to send a clear message, namely accompanying psychoanalysis in modern times, by providing a platform on which all psychoanalysis interested worldwide are well informed and are able to share them with each other in a private forum. That´s why, from the start, we offer the contents in German and English. Other languages are already in preparation.

What could be better than a place where like-minded people can get in contact with each other at all times?

Whether it be psychoanalysts (Freudian, Kleinian, Lacanian, ...,), candidates, historians, collectors, ... you should all be excited because we have Lots prepared for you!

What started with a small facebook group nine months ago, soon established itself to a large group with over 700 international members. Initially psychoanalytic riddles and games stood in the foreground but soon after, more and more associative contributions, discussions, literature recommendations and reviews became the main focus. However, since also facebook- skeptics wanted to participate, it was finally time to move and to create a space where psychoanalysis fans outside of social networks could attend and socialize undisturbed.
Exciting that all of this is happening around the 75th anniversary of Sigmund Freud death, isn’t it?

As of today, THE VIENNA PSYCHOANALYST will fill its pages with content for you. Gradually, all sections will be made available. We don´t want to give away the whole secret but in the tradition of the “Psychologische Mittwoch-Gesellschaft“, Wednesday will continue to play a major role!

The heart of our magazine, our forum will become accessible within a few days, just in time to welcome the first leading article.

You, dear User, will always have a week to comment, ask questions, and exchange ideas about the leading articles. For one week the author of the article will be on hand to answer your questions and comments online. We want to create a fruitful discourse. All Users will have enough opportunities to read and get involved, so that a topic can be extensively debated.
Similarly, we want to present you already established, as well as unknown, psychoanalysts.

We are very, very excited about it!

But this Forum is not only available for leading articles. Quite contrary, it will be an area where also riddles, debates, book reviews, free associating, etc. can take place.

An added integral part will be the science & research section, but it will become available at a later date.
Great things are planned here!
Here we will also introduce you to our Scientific Advisory Board.

But you can also look forward to exciting interviews, information about when and where upcoming congresses and conferences, auctions and book launches will take place, job offers, book presentations, and much, much more.

And please do not hesitate to give us feedback!

Finally, great thanks to all who have inspired us!

To a successful Beginning and with best regards from Vienna!
